Anyone preparing for TNPSC Group 4 with a reasonable runway left. If you can give at least 3-5 hours a day, this plan covers the full syllabus.
Are Group 4 and VAO syllabi the same? Does this plan work for VAO too?
Yes. Group 4 and VAO sit the same written exam — 300 marks, 200 questions, identical syllabus. Only the post they lead to differs (VAO = Village Administrative Officer). So this plan applies to VAO preparation as-is — there's also a dedicated VAO version of this page.
Is there negative marking in the Group 4 exam?
Yes. Each wrong answer costs 1/3 of a mark — with 300 marks, 200 questions and 3 hours on the clock, avoid guessing blindly.
