TNPSC Group 4 Eligibility & Age Limit 2026

Age Limit (Group 4 posts other than VAO)
* No upper age limit for BC/MBC/SC/ST candidates whose educational qualification exceeds the minimum general qualification.

Educational Qualification
SSLC (10th standard) pass is sufficient for most Group 4 posts (Junior Assistant, Typist, etc.) — the "Minimum General Educational Qualification". Some specific posts (for example Assistant, Steno-Typist) require a degree or a technical test pass — this varies by post. Check the October 6, 2026 notification for exact post-wise qualifications.
