Follow the Group 4 application guide for the general OTR and Online Application process. To select VAO specifically, note this one extra step:
Add VAO in the Post Preference section
In the "Post Preference" section of the Online Application, find Village Administrative Officer (VAO) in the list of available posts, and add it to your preference order (1, 2, 3...). If VAO is your top choice, place it first.
Common Mistakes VAO Applicants Make
Age limit confusion
VAO's minimum age is 21 — other Group 4 posts allow 18. Candidates aged 18-20 cannot select VAO in the form, though they may be eligible for other posts.
Wrong preference order
If you rank VAO last, and you're selected for a post ranked higher, your VAO opportunity won't be considered. If you actually want VAO, put it first.
Mistaking OTR for a separate VAO registration
OTR is just a general profile registration — it is not an application for VAO. After completing OTR, you must separately fill out the Group 4 Online Application.
